Are you ready to hit the pitch and be part of something extraordinary? The Hamilton Hornets are proud to offer a senior men’s rugby program for players aged 19 and up, featuring two competitive teams: the First XV and Second XV. Whether you’re an experienced player or new to rugby, you’ll find your place with the Hornets. No experience? No worries! We’ll help you develop your skills and join the action.

Our men’s teams compete in the Niagara Rugby Union, focusing on building individual and position-specific skills while fostering strong teamwork and a high level of competitiveness. We’re here to win games, but we never forget to have fun along the way. At the Hornets, you’ll find camaraderie, a supportive environment, and a great mix of hard work and good times.
When and Where We Play
Practices
📍 Mohawk Sports Park (Field #1)
🕖 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Games
Our games are held on Saturday mornings or afternoons during the Spring and Summer months, taking on local rugby clubs in the area. The season kicks off in late May and runs until late August, with additional post-season games available in the Fall. You’ll receive the full season schedule at the start of May.
What You’ll Need

Mouthguard: Highly recommended for practices and games.

Cleats: Rugby or soccer cleats are required.

Jersey: We’ve got you covered! The club provides jerseys.

Shorts & Socks: Available for purchase at the clubhouse to complete your Hornets look.
