June 4, 2005 The Hamilton Hornets lost a heartbreaker to the Burlington Centaurs, 35-24. The teams exchanged leads throughout the contest. The Hornets had some high points, and low points throughout the game. Ball Handling by the Hornets was suspect at best, and forward support in the rucks was at times non-existent. On the positive side, the Hornets owned the Lineouts, and controlled many of the scrums, winning Burlington's Ball by wheeling the scrum repeatedly. Full Back Steve Reise scored a wonderful try from the Hamilton 22 metre
line after the ref. disallowing a "mark". Chris Gilks then converted
the try. Scrum half Peter Van Zyl scored the last Hornet try with a cheeky play from a set penalty move from within Burlington's 22-metre line. Match report by: The Hamilton Hornets always welcome new Junior and Senior members. Call the club house at 905.575.3133
