June 17, 2006 The Hamilton 2nd team lost to the Windsor Rogues in the NRU C league. The Hornets braved the heat, the hard pitch, and a well drilled Windsor team, only to lose a close game 20-7. With a full and dedicated 2nd XV side, the Hornets played with heart, passion, and commitment. The only try scored on the day for the Hornets had full back John Diberardo drawing in the Windsor players up the sidelines and offloading to captain Duane Davis who had room to run, and once taken to ground Duane hit a screaming Tommy Edwards for the quick pop-pass to crash under the Rogues posts. Try was converted by Steve Ferreira.
