Saturday July 8, 2006 The Hamilton Hornets 1st team defeated the hosting Norfolk Harvester's in the NRU B league by a score of 55-3. The Hornets flawlessly executed their game plan against a determined Norfolk team with both the forwards and backs linking together for the entire 90 minutes to control and dominate the game which yielded 9 tries. Player of the match and upcoming Junior sensation, John Tavares, made his debut appearance on the first team as scrum half and controlled the game at the rucks, scrums, and lineouts.
