Saturday July 22, 2006 The Hamilton 2nds lost a hard-fought match against league-leaders Niagara Wasps on Saturday. The score was not a fair reflection on the competitiveness of play. The Hamilton forwards did well against a far bigger Niagara pack. In fact the Hornets' front men managed to push their opponents off of some scrums and wheeled several others to more than hold their own in the scrum. The backs were strong in defence with Brian Montgomery (full back) leading the way by putting in a try saving tackle against an extremely fast and rampaging Wasps' prop. The seconds head to Grimsby next week before ending the season with three straight home matches.
