Saturday May 27, 2006 The Hamilton Hornets opened the NRU B league with an impressive win over Kent Havoc. All Hamilton's training and preseason games paid off for them with a final score of 65-12. The game had many highlights, the forwards were crashing and rucking the ball continuously, and the backs linked effortlessly to continuously put the ball over the try-line. Certainly it was a day all Hornets and supporters could appreciate. Scorers for the game were: Jamie Whan (1), John Marsales (2), Peter Van Zyl (2), Lee Lawrence (2), Josh Mattiacci (1), Geordie McDougall (1), Owen Clark (1), and Crazy-horse Chris Lawson (1).
